The Smart and Distributed Computing (SDC) Lab
focuses on the research areas of cloud computing, edge computing, and Internet of Things (IoT). The lab’s mission is to design and develop the building blocks enabling innovative IoT, cloud, and edge technologies applied in various applications in areas such as health, food, agriculture, and smart cities.
The SDC Lab has a wide range of research topics, including resource management, reliability and fault-tolerance, performance modelling, intelligent algorithms, machine learning, smart sensing, and smart applications.
