Teaching

AWS Academy @ Western Sydney University

The School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences has a partnership with AWS Academy for the delivery of AWS Academy curriculum as part of our cloud computing-related subjects. The advantage of the program is that, in addition to rigorous fundamental aspects of cloud computing expected of subjects at bachelor and master levels, students learn practical aspects of the concepts and technologies in the context of AWS that prepare them to AWS certifications. Students also utilize AWS services in all the practical activities, ensuring an authentic learning experience that has direct application in the workplace. Alumni of our AWS Academy subjects achieved the relevant AWS certifications and are employed in many IT companies where the skills learned as part of the program are utilized.

The subjects that are part of the program are listed below. These subjects are developed, coordinated, and delivered by the SDC Lab members that hold the relevant AWS certifications and are accredited to deliver AWS Academy programs.
